My third day @ secondary school we met...Heard of this kid who wasn't built as a gymnast but could do a triple back flip. Extremely chubby he was, but didn't look like he could jump. so on that faithful day i saw a marvel of my life as it was, he did the unimaginable after being forced by seniors...a triple back flip. He challenged me and from that day we became friends, he became my hero. Visiting day, he made sure he called me to share a huge cooler of Jellof rice prepared by Tastee Pot (today Tastee fried Chicken) sometimes when i wasn't visited by my sight deprived dad. He did this with me for 3yrs till he left the boarding house. Oh boy i missed him when he became a day student. Bunmi taught me to care for everyone regardless of status..and most of all to do unthinkable things. like he said with his back flips to me, " Obinna, i just think of it and i do it" In Dubai during your wedding you reminded me of the size of your heart by your hospitality to me even in your busy schedule. Am glad i walked 25yrs on this earth knowing you and i will miss you till we meet again.
